Workshop: Accelerating Global Deletion of the Abnormal Toxicity Test. Planning common next steps

October 13, 2021
I would like to inform you about an international online workshop organized by Animal-Free Safety Assessment Collaboration (www.afsacollaboration.org), Humane Society International (www.hsi.org) and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (www.efpia.org) dedicated to “Accelerating Global Deletion of the Abnormal Toxicity Test. Planning common next steps” – October 14th, 2021 – 12:30 PM CET – via zoom. All DCVMN interested members are welcome to participate to the discussion. The event aims at establishing a concrete way forward to the global deletion of the Abnormal Toxicity Test from regulatory requirements for human vaccines and biologicals. The event is open and free (registration is required) to all the relevant stakeholders. We will post the registration link in the next weeks. The workshop will build on the Humane Society International Roadmap for the deletion of the ATT, TABST and LABST developed during the 2019 HSI Rome symposium (Viviani et al, Biologicals, 2019), leveraging the fruitful collaborations between industry and regulators established on this theme in many countries, and the positive examples of the regulatory changes already evaluated and implemented. You will be part of an international group of experts belonging to industry, regulators, national control laboratories and other international organizations invited to provide concrete input on possible next steps to accelerate the deletion of the test from regulatory requirements.
