Markus Kuehberger joined GEA in 2004 as a Sales Engineer in the Vienna office in Austria. Since 2019, he has been responsible as a Senior Director for the business line Chemical & Pharma at GEA Westfalia Separator Group in Oelde, Germany. GEA is a market leader in centrifugal separation with a strong footprint in pharmaceutical downstream processing. The topic of today´s webinar is innovative GEA single-use separators for vaccine processes reducing filtration without Steaming in Place (SIP) or Cleaning in Place (CIP). Proven disk stack technology, user-friendly design, and a small footprint in expensive clean room environments were the main drivers of this development. The system was proven to be suitable for perfusion processes already up to 30 days.
