DCVMN International CEO Mr. Rajinder Suri participated in the “Global Vaccine Ecosystems Forum: Advancing Collaboration for Innovation Across Healthcare Modalities” conference, hosted by the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) India Chapter. The forum brought together industry leaders, regulators, researchers, and global health stakeholders for a comprehensive dialogue on collaborative innovation across the vaccine ecosystem.
Mr. Suri delivered a keynote session titled “Building & Augmenting Vaccine Manufacturing and Regulatory Capacity in LMICs,” in which he outlined DCVMN’s role in the global vaccine field as the united voice of developing-country vaccine manufacturers and the bridge connecting them to the partners, regulators, and institutions that shape vaccine access worldwide.
India’s role in advancing global vaccine innovation
A significant portion of the keynote address focused on India’s contribution to the global vaccine ecosystem. Mr. Suri highlighted how India is driving innovation across the vaccine value chain through research, technology development, indigenous platforms, and industry collaborations, and how AI, digital transformation, and manufacturing excellence are increasingly at the heart of that progress. These directions, he noted, are precisely those that DCVMN is actively championing across its wider network, ensuring that the same momentum extends to manufacturers in every region the network serves.
A rich and diversified vaccine pipeline
Mr. Suri also brought forward the depth and diversity of the DCVMN network’s vaccine pipeline, which comprises 132 candidate vaccines under development across our members, spanning bacterial, viral, and nucleic acid platforms. This portfolio, he emphasised, represents both a reflection of DCVMN members’ scientific and manufacturing capabilities and an open invitation to Indian manufacturers and to the broader vaccine ecosystem to explore partnerships with DCVMN members, to co-develop, co-invest, and collectively accelerate the pathway from innovation to access.
Aligning industry and regulatory expectations
Later in the programme, Mr. Suri joined the panel discussion “Collaborative Pathways to a Harmonized Vaccine Ecosystem: Aligning Industry and Regulatory Expectations for Global Access.” Contributing DCVMN’s perspective, he underscored that alignment between manufacturers and regulators is one of the most decisive levers for turning the goal of equitable global access into a reality.
Continued commitment to partnership
Building resilient, equitable vaccine ecosystems is not the work of any one country or company, but it is built through partnership. DCVMN will continue to be an active partner in that work, bringing the voice of its members to the forums and dialogues that shape the future of global immunisation.
