The webinar covers the introduction of a proven technology in large-scale pharmaceutical separation, now also available in single-use (SU) design. It explains how this technology is integrated into the production process and the benefits it generates. The functionality of the SU separator is discussed, highlighting its advantages over alternative technologies. The transition from lab scale to production is also described. Finally, CDMO ProBioGen’s test results are presented, demonstrating the effectiveness and reliability of the technology.

The topic of today´s webinar is innovative GEA single-use separators for vaccine processes reducing filtration without Steaming in Place (SIP) or Cleaning in Place (CIP). Proven disk stack technology, user-friendly design, and a small footprint in expensive clean room environments were the main drivers of this development. The system was proven to be suitable for perfusion processes already up to 30 days.
