DCVMN in Istanbul for the WHO i-MCM-Net Meeting

Our CEO, Rajinder Suri, attended the 3rd Annual Partners Meeting of the World Health Organization i-MCM-Net in Istanbul (30 Sept-1 Oct), organized by the i-MCM-Net Secretariat and co-hosted by the WHO Regional Office for Europe and its Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies.

Mr. Suri contributed the DCVMs’ perspective during the panel on scalable manufacturing, bringing a frontline view of what it takes for vaccine producers in developing regions to translate global commitments into vaccines on the ground.

Meetings like i-MCM-Net shape the roadmaps and regional strategies that determine timely and equitable access to countermeasures under the Global architecture for health emergency preparedness, prevention, and response. Our presence keeps the discussion grounded in the operational reality of local manufacturing in developing countries by highlighting realistic tech-transfer timelines, the regulatory and workforce capacity needed to expand production, and the fragility of regional raw-material supply chains. Without our perspectives, high-level targets risk becoming rhetorical rather than deliverable.

DCVMN will continue to press for practical, regionally appropriate actions under the HEPR framework so preparedness translates into availability, not just promises.
